Data Scientist
Rahul joined Holley Holland from Dell Technologies where he worked as a technical analyst, looking after the deployment of backup suite and managing data-centre level failures. He performed business critical implementations with Hyper-V, Linux, Exchange and SQL servers, working on the EMC Avamar backup solutions. He developed and configured vSphere, Windows clients, databases and Avamar SQL/Exchange cluster backups, as well as setting strategies and backup plans for database admins. He graduated with a master’s degree in Data Science from the University at Buffalo in June 2021
Rahul is involved in projects that focus on data virtualisation, lineage, governance and transformation. He is a Solidatus certified model builder and has been part of deliveries where models were built using data from Collibra, ASG, Informatica IDQ, EDC, Excel and SQL server. He is responsible for extracting and ingesting valid information from these systems into Solidatus and building atomic and composite level models to deliver full end to end lineage and reference data models. Rahul also works with data modelling best practices and aids in making dataflow design solutions. He also develops Python code to accelerate and automate the loading and set up of models for Data Governance and lineage on Solidatus.
In his spare time Rahul enjoys traveling and gaming. He goes on frequent hikes and wishes to sky-dive on the palm islands someday.
